I've been working on and off the drawing ever since I started it. I don't know when I'll finish it. My mind isn't much into drawing these last few days and even week. I really hope before the end of July so I can start the second one. My plan is to do all 4 before University restarts. Because I know that I won't really have time for myself when this comes back.

So here's another update of the drawing~!

WIP #2

I can't say that something in the drawing is finished, that I won't retouched a certain section. Everything is still in general progress, eyes, nose, mouth, hair, etc. I'm struggling with a few things like doing the icy effect on her cheek and neck. Currently it's more of a blank section until I figured out a way to do it properly. I have no whatsoever clue how to draw that, but I'll manage a way eventually. I hope...

Hmm. That's all I have to say now.
I hope the next update will be the final result~!

I'm starting an entire series of 4 portraits. They will all be called "Beauty in the Broken" with a subtitle for each one of them. I already have my ideas for the titles, yet I am not saying it now because I know myself and I'll probably change a couple of time along the process ^^'

Basically, each portrait will represent one of the 4 elements: water, fire, air & earth, in it's own way. This conceptual idea have been floating in my mind for a while, but I never really felt ready for it. I still don't think I am, but I don't care at the moment. I'm simply craving to draw these. I have no clue if they will turn out like I am picturing them, but I really hope so.

I'll certainly be busy for the next weeks and even months working on those 4 pieces. Right now, I've started the first one yesterday which is linked with the water element. It will probably be more "ice" than water.

Anyway, here is a first WIP. I lost some resolution in the picture by putting my © since my laptop only has Paint, and everyone knows Paint = terrible. I really need Photoshop on my laptop.

WIP #1

I'm still not sure if I'm keeping the cuts along her cheek. I need to figure out a lot of things in order to get my idea fixed. This is only 4 hours of work. I'm guessing it will take me around...minimum 30 hours for each drawing.

There are still LOTS of work to be done. The eye isn't even finished, and this is more of a draft than anything else. It's rare that I show so early my WIP. Usually I'll wait to have more, but I'm just so excited about this that I needed to share ^^
